Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who use a defined and limited range of hospitality operational skills. They are involved in mainly routine and repetitive tasks using practical skills and basic industry knowledge. They work under direct supervision.

    Packaging Rules

    ​To achieve a Certificate II in Hospitality, 12 units must be completed:

    • 6 core units
    • 6 elective units

    • Use hospitality skills effectively (SITHIND202)
    • Show social and cutural sensitivity (SITXCOM201)

    Elective Units

    • Use hygienic practises for food saftey (SITXFSA001)
    • Clean and Tidy Bar Areas (SITHFAB101)
    • Provide responsible service of alcohol (SITHFAB201)
    • Operate bar (SITHFAB002C)
    • Serve food and beverage to customers (SITHFAB206)
    • Prepare and Serve Espresso Coffee (SITHFAB204)
